A staggered fitment is when the front and rear wheels are a different size. Staggered setups are typically found on rear wheel drive cars and the larger wheels are usually the rear wheels. From a performance standpoint, this allows the vehicle to have larger rear tires to increase traction whether you're cornering, accelerating or braking. Aesthetically speaking, this would allow for a more aggressive look with the larger tires and larger lips.
